Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
Tonight, I will be visiting my father-in-law who is in the hospital. Therefore, I won't be able to answer questions posted on the blog. Use the blog to make sure you have completed all assignments.
I am looking forward to hearing your group Riddle Poems. Work on completing #1 and #2 on the Riddle worksheet. Write down words that you associate with the answer. These are your assignments for today:

I. Language Arts
a. Reading Record: read poetry books for 30 minutes and record pages read. Record title and author in your reading record and Literature Sharing folder. This is week #5 on your Reading record.
b. Wordly Wise: complete crossword puzzle page 132. Due tomorrow.
c. "No Place Like Home" Quadrirama: after participating in today's "Gallery walk," I am giving you an opportunity to revise the panels and the S-E-E's for a higher grade. If you revise any of the S-E-E's, make sure you print 2 copies and title it "Revised Scene ___"
Also, type the flag: It needs to have a Title ("No Place Like Home", full name, student number and due date. Make the due date for Friday January 22, 2010. (Due Friday)
d. Group Riddle Poem: decide on the item. Then, brainstorm and write down words associated with the object. Finish #1 and #2. Due tomorrow.
e. Kid Biz: read 3 news articles this week and record scores on Kid Biz sheet and class poster.

II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: 1) make revisions to Space Olympics and put new information on the blue handout. Due Thursday. 2) complete RW page 26 & 27 and WB page 27 #1-6.
b. Mrs. K: WB page 19.5 and complete 10-step problem.

III. Other
a. Japanese: Shukudai -- 1) finish worksheet pages 1 & 2. 2) study for tomorrow's Quiz #17. Study class handout (meanings only).
b. Science: bring in 1 gallon plastic milk jug (washed out) and $2.00 by or before next week Monday January 25th.
