Dear Students,
I hope you enjoyed taking a virtual tour of the White House. Read the rest of President Obama's Inaugural Address in today's handout to help you complete Chapters 3 & 4 Reading questions. These are your assignments for the weekend:
I. Language Arts
a. Read 30 minutes and record pages read. Have parents initial total pages read for this week and sign the homework page.
b. The Kid Who Became President: complete reading questions for Chapters 3 & 4. For the constructed response question, write the similarities between President Judson Moon's and President Barack Obama's inaugural speech. What did they wanted Americans to do to help solve America's problems?

c. Writing: read over peer feedback and use criteria to make revisions to your first draft. Second draft due Tuesday.
II. Math
a. Mrs. Dela Cruz:
1) Find the median for each event in Groups #1-3. Show all work.
2) Create a bar or line graph for your group's data. Include title and labels for your graph.
b. Mrs. Kaneshiro: conduct a survey for 25 students about how many laps they ran in the Fun Run last year. Find the average of the people.
III. Other
a. Progressfolio: finish completing the assessment sheet for Reading.
b. Communication folder due Monday.

Dear Vincent,
Did you complete Part I at least? You need to use your time wisely during class. I gave you all period to complete this. What were you doing during that time? Tomorrow, we will be starting the Writing portion.
You will need to stay in recess to complete this assessment sheet.
