Dear Parents and Students,
IMPORTANT INFORMATION! We were just notified by Principal Carganilla that there will be no school tomorrow -- Friday January 16th due to the high wind warning. Please relay message to your parents. I will see you next week Tuesday (Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday).
Please show your parents the communication folder. For next week Thursday's field trip to Jarrett Middle School, you will need to bring money to purchase lunch. Please have your parents put cash (can be coins) in the small envelope that was in today's communication folder. Please submit the lunch money by or before next week Wednesday. These are your assignments for today:
I. Language Arts
a. Read 30 minutes and record pages read. Have parents initial total pages read. I will give you a homework page next week Tuesday for your parents to sign.
b. Wordly Wise 14E #1-7. Write words 1-7 5x each. (#8-15 will be assigned on Tuesday, Test on Wednesday).
c. Kid Biz: read news article and complete 5 steps. Record results in your folder.
d. Idiom Quiz: review your idioms worksheet. You can also go on funbrain.com/idoms website and review common idioms. You will need to know the meaning of common idioms and explain a situation in which you could use the idiom.
II. Other
a. Book orders due Tuesday.
b. Communication folder due Tuesday.
