Dear Students,
Counting down the days until the Aloha Assembly! We will have rehearsal tomorrow morning with Aunty Lynne. Please remember to bring the appropriate clothing based upon the skit you are in. At the bottom of this blog page, I wrote down the clothing items needed based upon the sport your are participating in. :)
Your final typed All About the Author story and colored portrait is due tomorrow. Please make sure you finish this tonight. I will show you how to create the Table of Contents tomorrow. You will be glue all remaining stories in your BARE book tomorrow. Next week, we will celebrate your accomplishment as a writer during our Bare Book story hour. :)
Last, please show your parents your communication folder tonight. I shared important information about the upcoming Aloha Assembly on June 2nd. These are your assignments for today:
I. Language Arts
a. Read 30 minutes and record pages read.
b. All About the Author: final typed story and colored self-portrait due tomorrow.
II. Math
a. Mrs. Dela Cruz's group: 1) make corrections to workbook page 17. 2) complete
workbook page 18 #1-12. For #7-12, write a problem for each equation.
b. Mrs. Kaneshiro's group: get test signed.
III. Social Studies
a. We the People Lesson #2: read the handout on why the Founders believed that people needed government. Complete the reading questions. You need to explain and draw colored pictures that show the 3 natural rights. We will correct both lessons tomorrow.
IV. Science
a. Slide show presentations tomorrow.
V. Other
a. Show parents communication folder.
b. Aloha Assembly Clothing -- bring it to school tomorrow:
Football -- blue or black shirt and black shorts
Dodgeball -- people on the end wear blue shirt, black shorts
--people in the middle wear yellow shirt, black shorts
Basketball--basketball team shirt, black shorts
Swimming -- bring googles, rash guard and black shorts
Catch -- white shirt (Tyler and Huey) blue shirt (Samuel) and black shorts
JPO -- JPO shirt and black shorts
Jump Rope -- blue shirt and black shorts

What if I am not able to get my blue t-shirt by tomorrow? Since I am not able to get one is it ok if i just wear a blue t-shirt with a design on it and get the plain one later?

Dear Isaiah,
Yes, it is okay to wear a blue shirt with a design on it tomorrow. Get the blank t-shirt on the weekend. We usually purchase our shirts from American t-shirt company. It is in the phone book. Otherwise, you can look at Kmart or Walmart.
