Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
Just a reminder that tomorrow we will be attending DARE Day at the Stan Sheriff Center (University of Hawaii) from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. We will be returning to school for lunch. You will need to wear your Hokulani T-shirt and covered shoes. Please bring a water bottle.

Also, please ask you parents tonight for the correct spelling of your middle name (write it down). Mrs. Kaneshiro will be announcing your full name during the Aloha Assembly.

Last, boys please inform your parents that you will need a long sleeve white shirt (with a collar) and long black pants for the Aloha Assembly. Please bring it to school next week Thursday.

These are your assignments for tonight:
I. Language Arts

c. Bare Book: begin writing All About the Author. Create a descriptive title (that best describes yourself), write the lead and first 2 middle paragraphs (family background and hobbies). Follow the criteria sheet given today. (Due tomorrow.) Also, begin drawing your self-portrait. Use the one you created at the beginning of the school year as a guide.

Hi Samuel!

Mrs. Kaneshiro will be saying your full name -- First, middle and last name. So, even though your name is the same as the other escort, there will be a difference. If you prefer to be called "Sam," let Mrs. Kaneshiro know tomorrow.

Dear Vincent,
Sorry, I checked the blog before 7:30 p.m. yesterday and did not see your message until today.
Yesterday, I was in school until 3:00 p.m. You can always go back to class and see if I am there. Another thing you could do is to borrow a classmates' book during A+. Since your mother picks you up later in the afternoon, you could have read the assigned chapters and completed most of the questions. I only assign 5 questions.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz
