Dear Students,
I hope you now understand how the colonists felt as they were being t-a-x-e-d! Tonight, please finish your yearbook message. You will need to save it on a USB drive and name it "your first name's message." These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read for 30 minutes and record pages read. The genre is Realistic fiction.
b. Kid Biz: read 4 news articles and complete 5 steps. Entries #13-16 due next week Friday.
c. Writing: work on revising your Tuesday story. Draw a colored picture of one of the scenes from your story. Final typed revised story, colored picture and previous story w/teacher's grade due this Friday April 15th.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: 1) Make corrections to Math retest on folder paper. Get letter to parent and retest signed. 2) Complete TB pg. 583 #1-6 and #11-13 (all). 3) Study for retest (except for Breann).
b. Mrs. K: 1) complete WB pg. 123 (all).
c. Math Review: complete worksheets -- RW142 and RW143 (all). Show work for RW143. Due tomorrow.
d. XtraMath: do 1 assessment daily.
III. Other
a. Social Studies: complete Taxation worksheet (with quality). Draw a colored picture that shows what "Taxation w/out representation" means. Due tomorrow.
b. Year book message: type out your message for the year book page. You may share your favorite memories at Hokulani. Things that you enjoyed doing (ex. projects) or memorable excursions you went on (including Big Island, Japan -- the Cultural Exchange and East Coast trips). You can share about the wonderful friends you have made and the people who have guided you such as our principal, teachers, counselor, etc. You can also give advice to the 4th graders on how to succeed in 5th grade. Type and save it on your USB drive under "your first name's message." Due tomorrow.
c. Japanese: study for Wednesday's quiz -- January-June (6 words). Complete worksheet 23: School time table at an elementary school in Japan.
d. Science: 1) finish calculations for circle graph. 2) complete "How many days old." Due Wednesday.
