Dear Students,
I was very proud of the effort and time you put into your online test responses. Thank you for conquering this test and putting forth great e-f-f-o-r-t!
Please show your parents your communication folder today. Over the weekend, please share your work samples w/your parents. After the sharing, have you and your parent complete the white comment form and have your parent sign the report card envelope. These items will be due on Monday. These are today's assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record/homework folder: read for 30 minutes daily and record pages read. The genre this month is Realistic Fiction.
b. Kid Biz: read 4 news articles and complete 5 steps. Entries #9-12 due next week Monday.
c. Writing: 1) Type your dedication page. Type the name(s) of the people you are dedicating your book to and the reasons why. Be specific when you share your reasons. 2) Color the cover page of your Bare Book. 3) Find a photograph or color a picture of the person(s) you are dedicating book to. These items are due tomorrow.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: 1) make corrections to WB 139 and 140. 2) complete TB pg. 582 Sets A, B, D, E. Show work and label. 3) Study for Area Test tomorrow.
b. Mrs. K: 1) WB pg. 121 #1, 3, 5 and WB pg. 122 #1-8 and #10, 12, 13 and 16.
c. XtraMath: complete 1 assessment everyday.
III. Other
a. Communication folder/Report Card/Organizational Binder: please share w/parents. Share organizational binder over weekend and complete comment form. Completed comment form and signed report card due Monday. Also, please bring back your Organizational binder (unless your parent needs to look at it longer).
b. Year book message: type out your message for the year book page. You may share your favorite memories of Hokulani. Things that you enjoyed doing (ex. projects) or memorable excursions you went on (including Big Island, Japan -- the Cultural Exchange and East Coast trips). You can share about the wonderful friends you have made and the people who have guided you such as our principal, teachers, counselor, etc. You can also give advice to the 4th graders on how to succeed in 5th grade. Type and save it on your USB drive. Due next week Tuesday.
c. Japanese: 1) complete questions on back side of worksheet 2: School timetable at an Elementary School in Japan. 2) Study for next week Wednesday’s quiz on January-June (6 words).
d. American Red Cross (Japan Relief): if possible, bring in coins for fundraising drive. :)
e. Science: 1) How many days old are you? due Tuesday. 2) Survey sports calculations due tomorrow.

I looked all over my home and I still can't find my Tuesday story papper.So what should i do.

Hi Emele!
Unfortunately, you will need to write the story all over again. The good side is that you have grown so much as a writer. The version that you write will have more details, dialogue, etc. I will be giving you time tomorrow to work on your revisions.
