Dear Students,
On Sunday evening, I will be attending the Beauty and the Beast play at the Blaisdell. I will check my blog at 4:00 p.m. Questions posted after 4:00 p.m. will be answered the next day.
Tomorrow, I will be returning your Tuesday story with my comments. Please work on the revisions Monday and Tuesday night. The revised story will be due on Wednesday. I will give you time to type your revised story this week. The final typed story will be due on Friday.
Please study for your Wordly Wise #7 Spelling and Vocabulary exam. We have only 1 more week before Fall Recess. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read 30 minutes and record pages read. Have parents initial total pages read and sign homework folder for week #8.
b. Kid Biz: read 2 news articles and complete 5 steps. Record entries #12 & #13 in Kid Biz sheet. (Entries due Monday)
c. Literature Sharing folder: complete pages 37-39 (top of 39). Due Wednesday.
d. Wordly Wise: 1) complete in WB 7E #8-15. 2) Make corrections to #7E #1-7 and words 1-7 written 5x each (if you got problems wrong). Write words #8-15 5x each. 3) Study for Monday's exam.
e. Writing: finish research on Duke Aiona and complete Comparison table. Begin research on Daniel Cunningham. You can find information about his schooling and work experience by clicking on "Project Smart Vote." You can also click on US Elections website and click on "Daniel Cunningham" website.
Since his viewpoints on the issues are not listed on his website, we will find this information when the candidates have a debate. (Research on Daniel Cunningham schooling and work experience due Tuesday).
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C. 1) make corrections to WB pg. 41 #21-30 (all). 2) complete Reteach pg. 41 #1-8. On page 41, also create models for #5-8. Use different colors for each decimal.
b. Mrs. K: WB pg. 14 #1-5, #11-15 and pg. 39 #1-8. 2) Get math test signed. Due Monday.
III. Other
a. DARE: pg. 22 Peer Pressure and pg. 30 Planner Notes #6. Due next week Friday.
b. Japanese: study handout on school subjects #1-5 (meaning only). Test next week Wednesday.
c. Communication folder: show it to parents. Return folder on Monday.

On the page that lists the books you have read, just write where the story first took place. On the other page, use descriptive details.
You should have read at least 2-3 books. If you are reading a lengthy book, such as over 200-300 pages, then you could have read 1 book.
