Dear Students,
I will be attending an East Coast meeting tonight, so I won't be able to answer your questions on the blog. Please ask your homework buddy if you need clarification on an assignment.

Please show your parents the (green) Home Energy Challenge flyer. Tell your parents that there will be an Energy Saving Night this Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at our school.

Also, if you attended the GT meeting today, please have your parents complete and sign the form I gave you this afternoon.

Dear ?,
For the "Revising and Editing," still assess this portion. Check to make sure the meaning is clear (revising) and there are no spelling or punctuation errors. Also, for the "Craft" section, make sure you have included transitions, descriptive details and dialogue.

After you assess, make additional revisions.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz :)

Mrs. DC,
Does the lead have to tell the setting? Cause my lead has a intro like "let me tell you the story" then the 2nd paragragh there is like first we were at the pond, then so on. So do we have to write the whole story over again?

Hi Ryan!
The Tuesday first draft is due tomorrow. Look in your Literature Sharing folder for the next reading genre. It is listed in the first couple of pages in the front of the booklet. This month is Science fiction.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz :)

Hi Erin!
Let me look at your lead tomorrow. You want to start with the action right away -- that is why it is good to describe the setting first. Then, leave the reader with a cliff hanger just before the frogs fly. :)

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz
