Dear Students,
You looked f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s at today's May Day dress rehearsal. Tomorrow we will be having dress rehearsal with the entire school. Please bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen. We will be rehearsing the entire May Day program from 8:15 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Today, please work on your Social Studies research and revising your taxation essay. Please read my comments and follow the criteria sheet. These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read for 30 minutes and record pages read. Genre is Free Choice!
b. Kid Biz: read 4 news articles and complete 5 steps. Entries #25-28 due next week Monday.
c. Writing: begin revising your Taxation essay. This is in your test folder. Create a colored illustration showing the 2 main reasons colonists were upset with the colonial tax system. Due on Friday. Please start early. We have many May Day practices this week and will have limited time in class to work on this assignment.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C. 1) make corrections to WB pg. 104 #1-5 and WB pg. 105 #3-8. 2) complete WB 104 #6-12 (all) and WB 105 #1-12 (all). #9-10, draw angle on folder paper.
b. Mrs. K: 1) Converting liquids w/sheet due next week Wednesday. 2) complete WB pg. 130 (all), TB pg. 537 #2-14 (all).
c. XtraMath: complete 1 assessment daily.
III. Other
a. Social Studies: Begin research. Complete research questions on project sheet. You will have to do most of the research at home due to the May Day rehearsals. Completed research and bibliography information due on Friday May 6th.
b. Science: 1) Complete TB pg. 597 #10-20 (all). 2) Finish letter to Mr. Bradley due tomorrow.
c. Japanese: finish 4 questions on page 2. Study for Wednesday's test -- family (Kazoku). All ten words on page 2.
d. Field trip permission forms and monies due Thursday.
