Dear Students,
Thank you for working hard this week! If you did not share your report card and progressfolio to your parents, please do so this weekend. Please have your parents sign the report card envelope and complete the bottom portion of the white comment form. These items are due on Monday. These are your assignments for today:
I. Language Arts
a. Read 30 minutes and record pages read. Total pages read for week #3. Have parents initial pages read and sign homework page.
b. George Washington's Socks: Read chapters 7 & 8. Complete questions. Due Monday. (Test on Chapters 5-8 on Tuesday)
II. Math
a. Mrs. Dela Cruz: make corrections to page 154 and complete worksheet 155 #2-16 even. Show all work.
b. Mrs. Kaneshiro: get test signed and complete worksheet. (both sides)
III. Social Studies
a. Complete essay outline (due Tuesday):
1) the title of your essay (it should be descriptive);
2) the thesis statement (Ex. The colonists were upset about the colonial system of taxation because . . . state your 3 main reasons;
3) the 3 main reasons
Write down the supporting examples you will use in the 3 middle paragraphs; and
4) Suggestions: on how the British government could have made the taxes fair for all.
IV. Science
a. Complete research on light.
V. Other
a. Turn in $1.25 for project: Amaya and Sagan

Hi Tyler!
Sorry that I did not answer your email sooner. For the essay outline, write down what reasons you are going to use in the body of your essay.
In the outline page, you should write the title of your essay, the thesis statement (the last sentence you will use in your lead) and 3 reasons you will write about in the body of your essay.
By the way, you had good ideas presented in your "Going Green" essay. I will be giving you back my teacher comments tomorrow so you can work on your final revisions. :)

The last song for our dance is called Macarena. Also, I was just notified on Friday, that our school dress rehearsal will be on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Yes, the rehearsal is for the entire school so each grade level will be practicing their performance on that day. Hopefully it will end at 10:00 a.m.!
