Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
You did a great job sharing your "revised" Explicit vs. Implied S-E-E posters. Over the weekend, please share your work samples with your parents. Return the signed report card envelope and white comment form.

Also, please make sure you complete 3 Kid Biz news articles and complete Xtra Math assessment. I will be presenting Xtra Math certificates of completion to those students who successfully completed certain sections. These are your weekend assignments:

I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read 30 minutes daily and record pages read. Have a parent initial total pages read and sign homework page for week #3.

b. Kid Biz: read 3 news articles and complete 5 steps. Entries #7-9 due Monday.

c. Wordly Wise: complete 17E #8-15 and write words #8-15 5x each. Study for Monday's test.

II. Math
a. Mrs. Dela Cruz: 1) make corrections to TB pg. 617. 2) complete TB pg. 627 Set A #6, #7, #8. Set B #11-12. Set C #1-2. Test on Ratios on Monday.

b. Mrs. K: 1) TB pg. 358 #45-51, WB pg. 86 #17-20, WB pg. 87 #9-16. Signed test due Monday.

c. Take Xtra Math assessment.

III. Other
a. Signed report card envelope, white student and parent comment form and organizational binder due Monday.

b. Japanese: 1) Study for Wednesday's quiz -- handout about occupations. Meanings #8-13. 2) Finish worksheet #3 Shoukugyou both pages 1 and 2.

c. Social Studies: 1) complete study guide part A.

Career and Technical Education deals with your work and study habits. It is based on the General Learner Outcomes (GLO's) and also how well you can assess and share your work samples with your parents.

For Social Studies, we will be covering more about Slavery and Triangular Trade in class this week. You will be given more reading materials about this. If you have questions when we go over the content covered, please don't hesitate to ask.
