Dear Students,
Spirit week and Parent-Teacher conferences begin next week. Please wear your school colors on Monday. Thank you for working hard in preparing for our upcoming conferences.
Over the weekend, work on your persuasive essay outline and lead (first paragraph). Also, get your test folder signed. Have a wonderful weekend! These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read 30 minutes and record pages read. Have a parent initial total pages read and sign homework folder for week #2.
b. Kid Biz: read 2 news articles and complete 5 steps. Record entries #7 & #8 in Kid Biz sheet. Due on Monday.
c. Wordly Wise: 1) complete 9E #8-15 and write words #8-15 5x each. 2) On folder paper, make corrections to 9E #1-7. 3) Study for Monday's test.
d. Literature Sharing: complete pages 20-22 (top of 22). Due next week Wednesday.
e. Writing: complete persuasive essay outline and write lead. Due Monday.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: complete Uncover Reflection and "What's missing?" worksheet. Show your work. Due Monday.
b. Mrs. K: complete math reflection and get math test signed. Make corrections to test if you got a DP or lower grade.
III. Other
a. Social Studies: draw pictures for the notes your wrote about Roanoke colony in your S.S. composition book.
b. Get test folder signed. Due Monday!

For the persuasive essay outline, you need to write down which essays you will be writing about in the essay. Then, write the lead, the first paragraph of the essay.
On Monday, I will be assigning the first 2 middle paragraphs which is writing what your candidate will do to solve 2 major issues.

Hi Erin!
Fill out the entire persuasive essay outline. This will help you plan out what you will be writing about in the essay. Then, you just have to write the lead on the lined pages. Also, think of a title for your essay. Remember to persuade the reader with your title!
