Dear Students,
Tomorrow is costume day for spirit week. We will also see the Hawaii Opera perform in the MPB tomorrow morning. Please study for your reading test on Chapters 17-18 and get your test folder signed. These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. *Reading record: read 30 minutes and record pages read. Genre is Mystery.
b. *Kid Biz: read 2 news articles and complete 5 steps. Record entries #9 and #10 on Kid Biz sheet. Due next week Monday.
c. Wordly Wise: complete 10E #1-7. Write words #1-7 5x each.
d. *Literature Sharing: read aloud favorite parts of mystery book to a parent. Have parent complete bottom of page 22 in Literature Sharing book. Due Monday.
e. Reading: Study for tomorrow's The Kid Who Ran for President Chapter 17-18 exam.
f. *Writing: begin typing 2nd Draft of Persuasive Essay. Follow the format given on the project sheet. Typed essay due Monday.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: complete pg. 350 #13, 18, 23, 31, and 32. Use fraction strips (if you did not finish problems in class, use the xeroxed fraction strip page) to help you solve the problem.
b. Mrs. K: complete TB pg. 221 #2, TB pg. 222 Sets A-E (evens) and Talking Turkey worksheet. Turkey worksheet due November 18th.
III. Other
a. Test folder: show it to parents and get it signed. Due Monday.
b. *Japanese: finish the coin worksheet. Study for next week Wednesday's quiz #9 on greeting chart pg. 2 (meaning only).
c. *Science: finish writing science defintion. (Due next week)
d. *Communication folder: show it to parents.

Since I am not coming to school tomorrow do I have to do wordly wise lesson 9E #1-15 and write words 5 times each for #1-15.

Yes, please complete 10E #1-15 and words 1-15 5x each. Over the weekend, please complete assignments on homework sheet I sent home today. Check the blog for tomorrow's assignments.
