Dear Mrs Dela Cruz,
I'm so sad that I missed out on todays activities, but I was wondering if you could explain the math question to me a little more so that I can understand what to do.I also had a hard time understanding what the picture of the measuring tool was on the bottom left hand corner. Could you please tell me what that tool is so that I can do the assignment? I'm so confused!
sincerely,
Nicole Nguyen

Dear Mrs. Dela Cruz,

I was sad for missing out on todays activities. I hope I will be well enough to come tomorrow. I was wondering if you could explain the math problem a little more so that I can understand how to do it. I also need a little help on the science worksheet. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,
Nicole Nguyen

Dear Nicole,
We missed you today and hope you get well soon. For the math problem, you first need to make a prediction on what type of body shape you are -- a square, tall rectangle, wide rectangle. Square means that your height and arm span (length from arm to arm) are the same. Tall rectangle means that your height is longer than your arm span. Wide rectangle means your arm span is longer than your height. Second, you need to use a ruler and measure your height and arm span in centimeters. Third, write down what type of body shape you have. After you have finished this, you need to find out the body shape and measurements (height and arm span) for one of your family members. If you have a hard time completing this assignment, I can help you when you return to school. :)

Nicole,
For the science assignment, you need to first write the main idea of the chapter in the top line of the paper. Then, identify the tools -- the first block you need to provide a tool that is not shown. The next tools are thermometer, spring scale, measuring cup and hand lens. Use descriptive details to explain what the tool is used for. Be specific. Write the type of units used for each tool.
