Homework Assignments

I. Language Arts
a. Read 30 minutes and record pages read in Reading Record.
b. The Kid Who Ran for President: study for tomorrow's test on Chapters 8-11.
c. Writing: Use teacher feedback to revise story. Third draft due tomorrow. Final typed story due Thursday.
d. Wordly Wise: Complete #2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D. Write sentences for words #1-15. Underline the vocabulary word.

II. Math
a. King's Chessboard: write question and solve the following problem on folder paper. What number square is the wise man on when he gets to 2,048 bags? Show all of your work and include an explanation on how you arrived at your answer.

III. Social Studies
a. Conduct research on assigned explorer. Write information (including bibliography information) on your project sheet. Due Thursday August 21, 2008.

IV. Other
a. Students who received an homework slip (pink slip), please complete the work and get form signed by parent.
b. Entertainment Book: please turn in unsold books or orders with appropriate funds by Thursday August 21st. (extended deadline)
