I was really proud of the effort you have been putting into your XtraMath and Kid Biz articles. Three students in our class received the top scores for a day or a week at our school! Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see which colored car wins the race next week. Remember, Go Green!
Over the weekend, please read aloud favorite parts of your biography book to a parent. Have a parent complete the bottom of page 19. These are your weekend assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read for 30 minutes and record pages read. Pages read should be initialed by parent and homework folder signed for week #8.
b. Kid Biz: read 4 news articles and complete 5 steps. Entries #22-25 due Monday.
c. Literature Sharing folder: read aloud favorite part of your Biography book to parents. Completed bottom of page 19 due Monday.
d. Reading: Quadrirama panels #1-4 and flag due Monday. For the flag, type Making Inferences, your name and student number and Due Date Monday February 28, 2011. The font size is 10-12. Have the flag typed and you can assembly it on Monday.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C. 1) corrections to PW126. 2) complete TB pg. 527 #1-12 (all). For #4-9 you should have 3 answers -- estimate in cm, actual in cm and actual in mm.
b. Mrs. K: 1) complete TB pg. 430 #23-32 (all), TB pg. 433 #1-8 (all).
c. XtraMath: complete 1 assessment.
III. Other
a. Japanese: Hiragana Practice 3 w/sheet. Study greeting chart #1-9 (page 1).
b. Communication folders due Monday.

For the flag, type Making Inferences, By and your name, Student Number and Due Date: Monday February 28, 2011. The font size is 10-12. On Monday, you can cut it out and attach it to the bamboo stick.
