Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I was really proud of the effort you put into running laps at last week's Fun Run. Many students surpassed their goal! Now that you know how many laps you ran, begin collecting pledges from your sponsors. Monetary donations will be due next week Friday. :)

Tonight, please work on finishing the research questions for your Social Studies project and study for tomorrow's Japanese Quiz. These are your assignments:

I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read realistic fiction book for 30 minutes and record pages read.
b. Wordly Wise: complete page 165.
c. Kid Biz: read 3 news articles and record first score.

II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: make corrections to workbook page 105.
b. Mrs. K: Finish poster and riddle. Study for Thursday's test.

III. Social Studies
a. Finish answering research questions and cite sources. Research due Friday.

IV. Science
a. Create a poster about missing children that have been missing for awhile. The title of the poster should say “Bring Our Missing Children Home.”
Ex. a picture showing a house and children coming home to happy parents. Poster due Thursday.

V. Japanese
a. Study for Quiz #21 on color chart, meaning and Romaji.

VI. Other
a. Test folder: Record tests and Quadrirama S-E-E project grade and get test folder signed. Due Thursday.
b. Have parents sign "notice" if you received one today.

Hi Melissa!
I hope you are feeling better. The paper I gave you is for Science. Mrs. Kaneshiro wants you to draw a draft of a poster to help missing children get returned home. Look at the blog for the directions.
When you return to school, I will return your poem and will give you the paper to draw your Hawaiian Honu on. I want to enter your poem into the HEA poem contest.
