Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
Thank you for working hard on your idiom presentations. On Thursday, you will be copying down the idioms and actual meanings selected by each group. Please study this for your quiz when you return from spring recess.

Please study tomorrow's Japanese exam and finish the Hinamatsuri handout. These are your assignments:

I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read for 30 minutes and record pages read. Genre is fantasy.

b. Kid Biz: read and complete 8 news articles (4 this week and 4 during Spring recess). Record first score and complete 5 steps. Due Monday March 21, 2011.

c. Reading: rehearse for your oral presentation and study for idiom quiz.

II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C. 1) make corrections to 10-step on folder paper and measurement test on folder paper. 2) Get measurement test signed and study for retest if you received a DP or WB. 3) complete WB pg. 132 #1-9 (all). Show work.

b. Mrs. K: 1) complete Tessellations project. Due March 31, 2011. Students will use Appleworks 6 Painting program to create their Tessellation. Students should refer to their class notes for steps on creating the tessellation with the program.
Criteria:
1) shape created must tessellate (not gaps or overlaps);
2) shape should not be have black outline;
3) use at least 2 or more colors;
4) save finished work on flashdrive to upload to teacher's folder on 3/3/1.

Be ready to print piece on 3/31.

2) Get Chapter 20 test signed. Due Thursday.

c. XtraMath: complete 1 assessment.

III. Other
a. Japanese: finish Hinamatsuri handout and study for tomorrow's quiz on pg. 2 Greeting Chart.

b. DanceMath: complete next level.

c. Science: Fun Run Poster Due tomorrow.
