Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
I hope you enjoyed today's pizza party. Tomorrow is our Winter Concert! Please wear long pants and a green, red or white shirt. Girls you can also wear a dress. Have your hair tied back.

After lunch, you will be opening your "secret santa" gift. We will also announce the winner of the most creative stocking contest. Please bring a change of clothing.

These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read for 30 minutes and record pages read. You will have a parent initial total pages read for the next 3 weeks and sign homework page for week #10. Due Tuesday January 4th.

b. Kid Biz: read a total of 6 news articles and complete 5 steps. Record scores on sheet. Entries #23-28 due Tuesday January 4th.

c. Literature Sharing: complete pages 26-28 (top of 28) due tomorrow.

d. Writing: final typed Harris Burdick story and colored picture due tomorrow.

II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: 1) make corrections to math test and get it signed. 2) WB pg. 27 #1-6, TB pg. 110 Set C #3-5. 3) study for math retest.

b. Mrs. K: 1) TB pg. 307 #1-4, pg. 308 all sets, evens only.

III. Other
a. Signed test folder due tomorrow.

b. Japanese: New Year's Day worksheet. Due on Wednesday January 5th.

c. Show parents communication folder. Due Tuesday January 4th.

See if you can call your homework buddy and have her share with you what the questions are. Answer the question on folder paper and attach it to your literature sharing folder tomorrow.

For the top of page 28, you are sharing what you learned from the legend or myth. Usually myths and legends try to explain something. Please write at least a paragraph or more about what you learned.
