Tonight, begin your research for your "Going Green" essay. Click on the link to brain Pop (on the right side of this page). The password and user name is hokulani. Don't forget, we have P.E. tomorrow so wear covered shoes. These are your assignments:
I. Language Arts
a. Read for 30 minutes and record pages read. We have library tomorrow. Bring your books back to school.
b. Kid Biz: read 3 news articles, record title and first score.
c. George Washington's Socks: read chapters 1 & 2. Complete questions and draw a colored picture for S-E-E.
d. Writing: go on Brain pop (brainpop.com) and conduct research on problems our earth is facing. List some of the problems and take notes on your "Going Green" worksheet. If you run out of room, you can continue your notes on folder paper. Be ready to share some of your findings tomorrow. :)
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: complete textbook page 551 #2-13 (all). Show all work.
b. Mrs. K: complete Butler vs. Duke worksheet and make corrections to problem #4 on folder paper.

a. Mrs. D.C.: 1) make corrections to textbook page 533. 2) complete study guide and study for tomorrow's test.
b. Mrs. K: 1) complete worksheet #4. Decide which car you will travel in. Ex. Miles per gallon, model, make. Look it up.
III. Social Studies
a. Begin research on your assigned Revolutionary War battle. Complete worksheet.
b. After reading about the different battles, complete the crossword and timeline for USA Weekly newspaper you received today.
IV. Other
a. Study for tomorrow's Japanese exam.

If you are planning to try out for a speaking role, make sure you have a short paragraph written about your time at Hokulani and practice rehearsing it. Have a fantastic Easter weekend! These are your assignments:

a. Read for 30 minutes and record pages read. Have parents initial week #2 for total pages read and sign homework folder.
b. Kid Biz: read 3 news articles and record title and first score. You should have a total of 6 entries by Monday.
c. Writing: on folder paper, write a descriptive paragraph that explains what you did and saw for your Spring Break picture. Create a descriptive title. Art picture and story due Monday.
d. Reading (dark pink) Self-Assessment sheet due Monday.
