Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
Over the weekend, study for next week's Social Studies exam. I will be giving you a practice quiz on identifying the colonies in the 3 regions on Monday. These are your assignments for today:

I. Language Arts
a. Reading Record: read 30 minutes daily and record pages read. Have parents sign reading record and homework folder for week #5.
b. Wordly Wise: complete 10E #8-15. Write words 8-15 5x each. Study for Monday's exam.
c. Reading Lesson 2 -- Explicit and Implied: read the story about the Present. Complete step 1 using the S-E-E format. Write 3-4 things that are explicit in the story. Cite the evidence and explain what the evidence shows.

II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: make corrections to today's homework. Complete worksheet page 87 problems #1-5. Show all steps on folder paper.
b. Mrs. K: workbook page 83 #1, 3, 10, 11 and page 84 #5-8, 13-16 and 24, 26.

III. Social Studies
a. Essay: Study for next week Wednesday's exam. Practice quiz on Monday on identifying the colonies.

IV. Science
a. Finish percentages on worksheet.

V. Other
a. Book orders due Monday.
b. Bring organizational binders to school: Joseph, Kathleen, Charity and Melissa.
c. Japanese: Quiz #11 this coming Wednesday -- study handout: classroom, study meanings for all 13 words, study Hiragana for pictures 1-4.
