Dear Students,
Write the first three paragraphs of your DARE essay tonight -- the lead and first 2 middle paragraphs. The last sentence in your lead should be your topic sentence (what 3 important points that will be addressed in your essay). These are your assignments for tonight:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read 30 minutes and record pages read.
b. Wordly Wise: complete 8E #1-7. Write words #1-7 5x each.
c. Writing: write first 3 paragraphs of your DARE essay. Include a descriptive title.
d. The Kid Who Ran for President: complete questions on Chapters 19 & 20. Study for tomorrow's test on Chapters 17-20.
II. Math
a. Mrs. D.C.: complete textbook pages 619-620 #2-38 (evens).
b. Mrs. K: make corrections to 10-step problem. Get test signed.
III. Social Studies
a. Colonial Economies: read the rest of the handout about Southern Colonies. Complete all questions. (Due tomorrow)
IV. Other
a. Show parents communication folder.
b. P.E. tomorrow -- wear covered shoes.

Hi Tawnie!
For the first draft, you will be writing the lead and first 2 middle paragraghs (all together this is 3 paragraphs). The lead will be the one you wrote yesterday, and the 2 middle paragraphs are 2 important things that you learned from the DARE program.
Tomorrow, I will be assigning the last middle paragraph and the conclusion.
