d. Project Runway Mask: write an exciting speech about your mask. (It will be read when you model the mask). The write up should include the name of the mask, description of mask (use descriptive words) and when/how it can be used (when can you use it or wear it?). Create a price for the mask. Fashion show begins next week!

Hurray! Fall Recess is finally here! Enjoy your time with your family and friends. These are your assignments during the break. I will be checking my blog only on the weekends during the break. You will be returning to school on Tuesday October 13th.

a. Reading record: read 30 minutes daily and record pages the read. On Sunday, total the amount of pages read for the week. In addition, add up all the weekly totals for the first quarter and write the grand total. Have parents sign pages read and homework folder for week #9.
Next week Monday, begin recording the pages read on the Second Quarter reading sheet (purple sheet). Total amount of pages read at the end of next week and have parents initial.

Study, study and study for tomorrow's Social Studies exam. You won't be able to use any notes or textbook for the exam. These are your assignments for today:
I. Language Arts
a. Read mystery book for 30 minutes and record pages read. I will be giving you the reading record for 2nd quarter tomorrow. Record pages read and have parents sign it during the break.
b. Tuesday story:
1) If you received my comments, work on the revisions tonight. If you have not received my comments, I will be returning the remaining stories back tomorrow. Work on the revisions and type it out in final form during the break. It will be due the day you return from the fall break.
2) Colored picture for one of the story scenes due tomorrow.
II. Math
a. Mrs. Dela Cruz and Mrs. Kaneshiro: work on M&M and ratio assignments that were given today.
III. Social Studies
a. Study for tomorrow's exam.
IV. Other
a. Color Wheel: make sure it is completed and turned in tomorrow.
b. Communication folder: show it to parents.
