Dear Students,
Begin research on your assigned explorer. Use the project sheet to take notes on. Remember to write down the sources that you used on the Bibliography page. These are your assignments for today:

Write down all books read for this month. On page 15, write down the main (important) events that occurred in the story. On the top of page 16, write what you learned from the story (story summary). Due this week Wednesday.
*Over the weekend, read aloud the favorite parts of the book and have your parents write down their comments on the bottom of page 16. Read aloud is due next week Monday.

Ivy Huang:)
Hi Chase!
Yes. Continue to work on the research at home. I will give you some time this week but try to work on answering the research questions. Include where you found your information on the Bibliography page.
Tomorrow, Mr. Pottenger will review how to create a power point slide show. Once you finish all of your research, you can start on the power point.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz
Hi Ivy!
For the map, find a map on the Internet that shows the different routes your assigned explorer went. You will be writing in words the places that the explorer travelled.
For "how" the explorer travelled, find information about the ship(s) the explorer used on his journey. Some of the explorers may have travelled using another method.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz
Dear Mrs. Dela Cruz,
