I hope you enjoyed your first week of school. Thank you for working hard on your self-portraits today. These are your assignments for the weekend:
I. Language Arts
a. Reading record: read daily and record pages read. On Sunday, total all pages read for the week and have your parent write their initials next to the total pages read. Due Monday morning.
b. Wordly Wise: complete Lesson 1A and 1B. In your composition, write and describe the first 7 words. (You will be writing the word, definition in your own words and drawing a picture showing the meaning of the word. Under the picture, write a sentence using the vocabulary word that explains what the picture is showing.) Due Monday.
II. Math
a. On folder paper, complete the five Esio Trot questions. Due Monday.
1. How many trips did Mr. Hoppy have to make if he took 15 tortoises each time from the pet store to his home. There were 140 total tortoises. Show work with labels.
2. What is the pattern for Mr. Hoppy's tortoise weight plan?
3. Draw out a table for the next 8 weeks for Mr. Hoppy's pattern. The table will show:

III. Other
a. AVID: "Finding a Study Space" investigation due Monday.

c. Colored Self-Portraits: due next week Wednesday.
*Kellen and Crystal: next week, you will helping in the morning drop-off area.
**Shaylene: you are one of the flag monitors along with Marcus from C-6 this month. Please put up flag when you come to school in the morning and take it down in the afternoon.

For the self-portraits can we color the face cause I remember you saying that we couldn't color in till we're done coloring everything else and you're going to show us how or what color to use.

You log down only the amount of pages read. On Sunday, you will total all pages read for the week (grand total) and have a parent put their initials next to it on the right side of the page.
