Homework Assignments

Dear Students,
Tomorrow is your final performance for your parents! Finish your homework and begin studying for Wednesday's retest exams. Get a good night's rest. If your parents are able to help decorate the MPB tomorrow, please have them come to the MPB at 9:45 a.m. They can see Mrs. Nakamura (Chase's mom) and Mrs. Kuniyoshi (Kyle's mom) for specific instructions.

The Aloha Assembly program will begin at 10:30 a.m. Each student will have 2 reserved seats in the front of the MPB. Other guests and family members will have seating in the back area on the tables. Remind your parents to park in the Koali parking lot. If they did not order lunch with us, please remind them to bring their own lunches.

Tony just emailed me. He has already arrived back home in China. There is a correction to Tony's email address. It is tony468@qq.com

These are your assignments for today:
I. Language Arts
a. Bare Book: practice for your oral presentation (if you did not present yet).
b. George Washington Socks: If you are taking a retest (3 lowest scores), please review the chapters covered. Review the previous exams taken in your test folder (read over my comments).
*The retest will have different questions but will follow the same format (4 reading comprehension questions and 1 constructed response question). Retest exams will be given on Wednesday.

II. Science
a. Complete worksheet. Due tomorrow.

III. Social Studies
a. Government Retest: I am giving you an opportunity to take a retest on Wednesday on Democratic Ideas and Voting (comparing 18th Century and Present Day). Please review the study guide, handouts and notes you took today.

II. Other
a. Pink slips: please complete work and get slip signed.
b. 5 Thank you teacher letters. Please complete and turn into Mrs. Kaneshiro tomorrow. We want to put the letters in the respective teacher boxes tomorrow.

Mrs. Dela Cruz,
I noticed on the parent letter and blog that the volunteers report to MPB at 9:45a to set up. Is this enough time to decorate before 10:30a program? Chase's grandparents decided to come to the assembly so we'll give our seats to them and we don't mind sitting in the back.

Thanks - let me know if you need additional items to be purchased.

Hi Mrs. Nakamura!
Thank you so much for getting the balloon weights. In the past the parents really worked well (quickly) in decorating the room. Normally, the students practice in the morning before the parents come to decorate the MPB.
If you would like to come earlier (about 9:30 a.m.) that would be fine. Even though I said 9:45, parents actually start coming around 9:30 a.m. I will have all of the directions on a clip board for you. Mrs. Kuniyoshi will also assist you. All of the chairs and tables will be set up. The things that will need decorating are the podium and perimeter areas of the MPB. We have a helium tank for the balloons.
There will be parents that are coming early to help decorate. I will see you tomorrow!
Thank you again!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dela Cruz :)
